Is there really no evidence for the Exodus, for the Israelite people, Jewish Religion (Judaism) three thousand years ago? There are now a lot of liberals, who want to call themselves scholars, love to deny the evidences of the Bible found through archaeology. Why? Not because the evidences are really contrary to the Bible, this is not even merely political issue–though there is a shed of greed and corruption behind the twistings of the evidences, but ultimately, the reason of wanting to discredit the Bible is sin.

Man from beginning of the fall, has been hiding from God. The case is not about a hidden God, a God who has really no evidence of existence, but this is a case of hiding men before a God Who sees everything including our deepest secrets and thoughts. Men’s depravity is such that they would be willing to deny the obvious and make lies appear to be truths, and claim that the truth claims of the Bible are actually lies.

Evidences, no matter how many and clear, presented before the outright liars and those who hate God, would not make them repent of their sins and trust in Christ.

There is a time and a place for evidential apologetics, but the salvation of sinners does not result from evidences placed before their eyes. The salvation of the lost, if there would be a true salvation, always results from the simple proclamation of the Gospel, not through the profundity of evidences and eloquence of the apologist. The Gospel alone is the the foreordained means of God unto salvation (Romans 1:16). Evidential apologetics boosts the confidence of the believers. For unconverted sinners, the simple proclamation of the Gospel, and its demands for the sinner–repentance and faith, is the news needed.

A transcript to the video:

The biblical answer is there are no “good” people.  In Mark 10:18, Jesus said that only God is good.  Because God is good, He will see to it that Justice is done on the Day of Judgment. If He gave each of us justice right now, every one of us would end up in a terrible place called “Hell”, and we would deserve it.

God is the standard of righteousness, and all of us have fallen short of that standard, so there really aren’t “good” people that “bad” things happen to.

A better question is this; “Why does God allow good things to happen to bad people?” With reasons known only to God, He demonstrated his own love for us in that “While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” In spite of our evil, wicked, sinful nature, God still loves us. He loved us enough to die to take the penalty for our sins when He died on the cross.

Often things happen to us that we simply cannot understand. Instead of doubting God’s goodness in times of suffering, we should trust Him.  We should echo the words of Job, “though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.” The book of Job shows us that God is trustworthy, even when we don’t understand the suffering around us.

Why do bad things happen to good people? That only happened once, and He volunteered.

The problem of evil is commonly used and is the favorite of the self-deluding people (those who call themselves atheists, skeptics and agnostics).

They say, “If God is All-Knowing, All-Powerful, Good and Loving, how could there be evil in the world? It is either God wants to eliminate evil but has no power to do so or God can eliminate evil but does not want to because he does not care.”

Well, this blasphemy has been the all-time favorite of all those who are still unconverted and is still in their rebellion to God. People who constantly use this argument do not see that they are part of the problem and that God is in fact showing them tremendous kindness by not annihilating them or putting them to Hell immediately.

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9)

What is truth? Truth is the way things really are and there is no shed of relativism. Truth is that reality as perceived by God.

The Lord Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)

We human beings know that there is an All-Knowing, All-Powerful, perfectly Holy, Just God–Who would judge us one day. This is just a given. Ecclesiastes 3:11 tells us that”He [God] has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

It is obviously clear that we know we are sinners and that we need to be forgiven. But because of our fallen state, we fail to think of God’s infinite holiness. God is infinitely Holy, and there is no way we could be at peace with Him unless we be perfectly holy as He is. We cannot be perfect. We are hopeless apart from the grace, mercy and love of the God through the Lord Jesus Christ.

We need the peace of mind that assures us we have been reconciled before this infinitely worthy God. We are looking for ways to silence the screams of our conscience that we have violated God’s Laws and we have offended His majesty. To claim that what’s true for others may not be true for somebody else is just nonsense. Truth is important; relativism is not the answer to the haunting conscience. The Lord Jesus Christ is the Way.

What is the truth really all about? Truth is all about God. We are made by God. All search for truth must end up in God because all truth is in  God. But, the unconverted don’t want this. People are willing to accept any so-called truth as long as it would not demand that they bow their knees before this glorious God. All truth is in Jesus Christ for He is God; he is the Truth incarnate.

The Lord Jesus Christ is not only the Way to salvation, the Truth for our existence, but He is also the very life from Whom we get our purpose, satisfaction, joy and identity. He is and forever will be the object of our existence. Thus, eternal life is needed for a person to spend an eternity with this infinitely awesome God.

Dr. Jason Lisle, an astrophysicist, presents a defense to Biblical creationism:

The real Jesus according to the Bible is God in human flesh. Chapters like John 1, Colossians 1, Hebrews 1, and Revelation 1 deal with the Divinity of Christ at length; though there are plenty of short verses that mentioned the Divinity of Christ like Romans 9:5, 2 Peter 1:1, etc.

The liberal scholars are not liberals because of the evidence from history and archaeology; it is rather because of their sins that they would pervert the truth and lead others astray.

No elect of God would ever be lost because of these pseudo scholars. However, we must honor God by proclaiming and defending the truth. We cannot simply ignore the blasphemies of these outright liars.  And we must proclaim and defend these truths for the glory of God, and for the sake of the elect; that those who are not yet saved would be saved by the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, and that those who are already believers would have a boost of confidence in their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. I know that faith and trust are made possible by the Holy Spirit through the testimony of Scripture. Let us therefore hold fast to the written Word of God and not waver from its testimonies.
