What is truth? Truth is the way things really are and there is no shed of relativism. Truth is that reality as perceived by God.

The Lord Jesus said, “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)

We human beings know that there is an All-Knowing, All-Powerful, perfectly Holy, Just God–Who would judge us one day. This is just a given. Ecclesiastes 3:11 tells us that”He [God] has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the hearts of men; yet they cannot fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

It is obviously clear that we know we are sinners and that we need to be forgiven. But because of our fallen state, we fail to think of God’s infinite holiness. God is infinitely Holy, and there is no way we could be at peace with Him unless we be perfectly holy as He is. We cannot be perfect. We are hopeless apart from the grace, mercy and love of the God through the Lord Jesus Christ.

We need the peace of mind that assures us we have been reconciled before this infinitely worthy God. We are looking for ways to silence the screams of our conscience that we have violated God’s Laws and we have offended His majesty. To claim that what’s true for others may not be true for somebody else is just nonsense. Truth is important; relativism is not the answer to the haunting conscience. The Lord Jesus Christ is the Way.

What is the truth really all about? Truth is all about God. We are made by God. All search for truth must end up in God because all truth is in  God. But, the unconverted don’t want this. People are willing to accept any so-called truth as long as it would not demand that they bow their knees before this glorious God. All truth is in Jesus Christ for He is God; he is the Truth incarnate.

The Lord Jesus Christ is not only the Way to salvation, the Truth for our existence, but He is also the very life from Whom we get our purpose, satisfaction, joy and identity. He is and forever will be the object of our existence. Thus, eternal life is needed for a person to spend an eternity with this infinitely awesome God.
